The heart of the Sunchild Cultural Connection is simple: make cultural learning part of everyday life. It’s not just about holding events now and then. It’s about creating regular opportunities for children and youth to speak their language, learn from Elders, and take part in activities that bring the community together.
This work is important because it gives our young people a strong foundation. When children grow up hearing their own language, learning songs and dances, and understanding the teachings behind them, they carry that strength into every part of their lives. Families, too, get to share in that pride, passing on skills and stories that might otherwise be lost.
