Occupational Health & Safety Officer

Sunchild CFS is currently seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Officer to support a strong culture of workplace health and safety. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, available Hybrid working conditions, plenty of paid travel time, eligible quarterly retention bonus, and our new monthly Mental Health Day!

Our OH&S Officer will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Develop, Implement, and Monitor occupational health and safety policies.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and identify potential hazards across all agency locations.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify and coordinate required health and safety training for staff while promoting a strong culture of workplace safety.
  • Ensure the agency remains compliant with applicable occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards.

Manager of Protection Services

Sunchild CFS is currently seeking a Manager of Protection Services to lead and support to the Protection team in providing safe, culturally responsive, and family-centred services to children, youth, and families. Our Manager of Protection Services will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Protection Services team.
  • Oversee protection programs and ensure services are culturally safe, effective, and in the best interest of children.
  • Builds strong relationships with families, community partners, and agencies.
  • Ensures compliance with legislation, policies, and standards.
  • Supports staff development and team success.

Protection Case-Aid

Sunchild CFS is currently seeking a Protection Case-Aid to support our Protection team in providing compassionate, culturally grounded services to children, youth, and families. This position plays an important role in supporting the safety, well-being, and connection of our community. Our Protection Case-Aid will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Support Protection Caseworkers with case-related duties and documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and confidential case records.
  • Support visits, appointments, transportation, and other case activities as required.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and community members.
  • Work collaboratively with the Protection team and community partners.
  • Promote culturally respectful, family-focused, and child-centred services.
  • Works closely with the team to ensure children’s safety and well-being.

Protection Driver

Sunchild Child & Family Services is currently seeking Protection Drivers, to provide safe reliable, and respectful transportation for children, youth, and families involved with Protection Services. This position supports clients in attending visits, court hearings, appointments, and other essential destinations both on and off Nation. This position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, plenty of paid travel time and opportunity for overtime, eligible quarterly retention bonus, and our new monthly Mental Health Day!

Protection Drivers will be Required to perform the following duties:

  • Operate an approved Sunchild CFS Agency Owned Vehicle during Drives.
  • Conduct vehicle safety checks, and maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Transport clients to family visits, and appointments.
  • Provide transportation to court hearings, and meetings.
  • Transport clients on and off Nation as required.
  • Assist with transportation during client transitions, including moves to new placements or homes.
  • Ensure the safety, privacy, and dignity of all clients while providing transportation.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner at all times, especially during client transport.

Prevention Driver

Sunchild Child & Family Services is currently seeking a Prevention Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for children, youth, families, and staff participating in community programs and events. This position plays an important role in helping community members access programs, activities, and cultural opportunities throughout the region. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, plenty of paid travel time, eligible quarterly retention bonus, and our new monthly Mental Health Day!

Our Prevention Driver will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Operate the SCCFS Prevention Program bus safely and responsibly.
  • Transport children, youth, parents, and staff to program activities and events.
  • Support transportation for swimming, movies, fishing, camping, sporting events, health & Fitness events, sewing nights, and other various programs.
  • Ensure participants have safe and reliable transportation to and from program locations.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Travel to various program locations throughout the week, including Sunchild First Nation, Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley, Nordegg, and surrounding communities.

 

Off-Nation Custodian

Sunchild CFS is currently seeking an Off-Nation Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, families, clients, and local community members at our Sylvan Lake, AB Location. Our Off-Nation Custodian will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout our Sylvan Lake office.
  • Complete routine cleaning and sanitation duties to ensure the office remains safe, comfortable, and ready for staff and visitors.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is in good working order.
  • Support a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all.
  • Respect the importance of client privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner when working around staff, clients, families, and community members.
